Dog Adoption 101

It might sound a bit odd but there is nothing great about a Yorkie Bichon mix dog cropping up over time taking into consideration the large number of dog breeds popping up, both intentionally and unintentionally. But what this means for god owners is something totally different of course.

Have you ever thought from where do all those cute and cuddly pets in the pet store came from? Well a very few of those might have come from an unknown location, and a few might have come from the Pinta, the Nina and the Santa Maria, but most of those pets come from different pet breeders.

You have never thought about what type of dog you need, and the only thing that is running through your mid is the four legged cutie that your neighbor has bought. The yellow Labrador that you saw today at the pet store is still fresh in your memory asking you to give him a home, and you barely have the power to resist the temptation and go get it from the store.

It’s a sad but true fact that there are more dogs than you can even imagine who are put down everyday, for “humane” reasons. It’s also true that there is more than that number of dogs who are either abandoned on purpose, or abandoned by unkindly fate. This applies to just about every type of dog that you can think about. Sometimes however, something like the many different Vizsla rescue groups can make a great difference on how these dogs fare.
