Dogs have over 18 muscles in their ears which allow the ear to rotate and tilt, this allows the dog to pick up sounds very easily and quickly; far in advance of human hearing.

Dogs can pick up smells far lower than a human is able to do; their wet noses allow them to determine which way the wind is blowing; and allows them to find the source of a smell.

It has been recorded that dogs can live for over 24 years in some cases.

Unfortunately every year the number of cats and dogs that are entered into animal shelters is between 6 and 8 million. Sadly half of these never get to come back out again.

Dogs can mature very quickly; normally around the 6 to 12 month cycle, so unless you are planning on breeding them, then it would be advisable to have them neutered or spayed as soon as you can.
